Social Worker – CIC 24-7 recruitment are looking for a Social Worker. You will have a degree in Social Care, DipSW or equivalent and will have completed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE). This should include post-qualification experience of managing a complex children and families caseload and will have included assessing and reviewing the action, care plans and resources required to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and their families. You’ll also need excellent team and partnership working skills. Above all, you’ll be focussed on helping children and families to change their lives for the better This role involves travelling around Kent. A driving licence and car – or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means – is essential. Location: Kent, Whistable/Broadstairs Payrate: £29.23 per hour Contract type: Temporary (ongoing) Accountabilities for Social Worker – CIC: We are seeking enthusiastic and resourceful social workers who will have the ability to respond positively and creatively to the needs of our service users. You will play a key part in providing social care service and exemplar social work practice within the Recovery Wellbeing Community Mental Health Team ensuring that excellence of service is provided across the department. You will contribute to change management, concluding our client’s transformation and ensuring it is configured for continuous improvement adhering to the Key Performance Indicators provided. The role requires you to be mobile throughout a wide operational area including travelling around the county of Kent and beyond to transport children and their belongings and be available to do so in an emergency. You should note that public transport is rarely a viable option as your role will involve you transporting people and equipment to venues in very rural areas, often with limited public transport. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and to registration as a qualified Social Worker with the Health Care Professionals Council. What you will need to be considered for the Social Worker – CIC: You’ll bring significant experience of social work, modelling good practice and providing advice and guidance in complex situations. We’re also looking for your ability to mentor both newly qualified and experienced team members. As, as a subject matter expert in relevant professional practice, you should have a comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations and guidance. You should be a qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration. Be post-qualified 2 years with an in-depth knowledge of complex cases and The Care Act. Proven record of working complex cases and supporting other staff members. Evidence of continuing professional development and capability of practice in accordance with current professional standards. An in-depth understanding of the financial implications of commissioned care packages. The ability to make clear decisions, to highlight and limit potential risks associated with intervention.
