Come and join our client based in Kent Area as a Service Chemist (Water & Process Chemist/Technician) .This role is remote, travelling on daily basis in Kent Area, so own car is essential. You will work as part of our on-site team to support the provision of contractual services in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. This is a site based role involving a combination of site work and the provision of analytical reports to ensure client operations are performing at optimal levels. We are looking for an experienced service chemist or applications engineer with knowledge preferably in the F&B / relevant Manufacturing. Experience with sampling, testing, taking corrective action on cooling towers, boilers and chemical-dosing systems. Contract type: 12 month contract, 1-2 years relevant experience Pay Rate: £17.00-18.00 per hour with some flexibility Location: Remote, travelling on daily basis in Kent Area *Own Car is required to apply. What you’ll be doing as a Service Chemist (Water & Process Chemist/Technician): Ensuring a safe working environment, promote a positive safety culture Fulfilling contractual service(s) at our client facility. Performing sampling and monitoring of industrial process and water steams such as cooling systems and boilers. Managing and maintaining chemical inventory and injection rates and ensuring the accuracy of onsite SDS’s and COSHH information. Performing laboratory analysis using defined field test methods such as titrations and colorimetric analysis. Engages in problem-solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data, and providing written recommendations. Providing recommendations to chemical dosage/feed rates and customer operating parameters. Minor equipment / instrument installation, repair, and calibration. Tracking of key performance indicators and identifying focus areas. Identification of improvement projects and new service opportunities. Communication of information to key client personnel via meetings and performance reviews. Maintaining and developing relationships with client personnel. Regular travel throughout local geographic region may be required. Qualifications Required: Applications shall be considered from: Holders of a relevant qualification in a technical discipline e.g., chemistry, engineering, water treatment – internal training will be provided Relevant industrial experience, such as within a heavily regulated industry (steel manufacturing and Chemical/Power industries), experience preferred. Good Communication Skills – written and verbal. Proficient Computer Skills including Microsoft office tools e.g., MS Word & Excel. Current and valid UK driving license – Essential. A personable and communicative approach. Self-disciplined, with a Strong work ethic and commitment. Action oriented individual with effective time management and ability to multitask. Ability to work flexible hours as required to ensure service delivery. Ability to demonstrate a high degree of personal accountability and to work autonomously to a consistently high standard.
