24-7 Recruitment is recruiting a Transport Clerk on behalf of a well known client based in Bury. Immediate start.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, have good time keeping and prioritisation skills.
Experience in the transport industry is preferable.
Roles are temporary ongoing with opportunities for long term assignments.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work alone and in a team
- Takes initiative
- Work well under pressure, to tight and often conflicting time frames
- Good eye for detail
- Good computer and I.T. skills
The Job will involve:
- Debriefing drivers
- Driver Liaison - proactive and positive communication with drivers
- Management of the microlise system
- Knowledge of HGV compliance and Working Time Directive
- Have a general understanding of Planning Collections and Deliveries
- Tachomaster management - compliance, infringements, missing mileage, missing cards Etc
- general admin duties - scanning, coping etc.
- Liaise closely with the site Managers
PAYE pay rate
Hourly rate
£10.92 weekdays
£12.00 weekend
Schedule
- Office based
- basic hours will be 48 - 4 on 4 off - rotational so 1 set of 4 will be on AMs (04:00-16:00) and the following set of 4 will be PMs (09:00 - 21:00)
