We have fantastic opportunities for Warehouse Operators to work in our client’s facility in Avonmouth, Severn Beach BS25 4GH. The purpose of this role is to assist with the effective and efficient picking of orders for internal and external customers, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, and racking away stock from loading bays.

With enormous product diversity, our client has over 65,000 products across 16 departments including DIY, Kitchen & Dining, Furniture, Lighting, Arts & Crafts, and Textiles.

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our team. As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for various tasks related to materials handling, picking and packing, and maintaining the overall organisation of the warehouse. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and the ability to operate equipment such as forklifts and warehouse management systems.

*Due to transport links, candidates will be required to attend their shift by their own means of transport*

Pay & Shifts

  • You will be required to work any 5 days out of 7
  • 40 hours a week (breaks paid after 12 weeks)
  • Rotational Shifts – One week 06:00 – 14:00 and next week 14:00- 22:00
  • Night shifts! 2200-0600!
  • Pay Rate – £13.31 per hour with overtime being £16.64 per hour after 40 hours

Key Responsibilities as a Warehouse Operative

  • Picking and packing products for stores efficiently and accurately
  • Scanning all items, taking them off the pallets and allocating each item accordingly within the warehouse
  • Relocation of items using Pump Truck
  • Managing Goods in and goods out
  • Allocating stock and unloading/loading lorries

Essential requirements

  • A reasonable level of written and verbal communication skills in English, so able to understand instructions and perform tasks
  • Have your own transport
  • Be able to work full-time hours
  • No experience necessary
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly
