HGV Class 1 Driver – Ipswich

£16 per hour

We are currently looking for a HGV Class 1 Driver for a client we are representing in the Ipswich area, this is an ongoing role for the right candidate. This role involves container work for a global distribution company.

As a HGV Class 1 Driver we ask:

• You hold a minimum of 2 years HGV Class 1 experience
• You hold a Full UK Driving licence with C+E / Full CPC and DIGI Tacho card
• You do not have any DD, DR or IN convictions on licence

As a HGV Class 1 Driver you will be responsible for:

• Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
• Complete necessary paperwork and logbooks accurately
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Represent the organisation to the high standard required.

Skills:

• Valid driver’s license with appropriate category for operating a Class 1 vehicle.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with experience driving an HGV vehicle.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
• Ability to navigate using GPS or maps to locate delivery addresses.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers.
